Day 10 Odds & Picks

27 Jan 2010 by Hiland in Australian Open 2010

Following our 7 of 8 day, we went 3-4 yesterday in spite of our Cinderella pick. Today shapes up to be a tough one, but a few underdogs just may come through.

The Men

Federer – Davydenko – We liked Davydenko (21/10) coming into the tourney and despite his five-set thriller with Verdasco, we like his all court game to frustrate Federer ((4/11). Never easy to bet against Federer, but today is the day.

Djokovic – Tsonga – This rematch of the 2008 finals will be hotly contested. Djokovic (4/9) has been impressive but Tsonga’s (7/4) athleticism should carry him through.

The Women

Li – Venus Williams – Hey, we are going way out there on this one. Venus (1/2) looks like a tired favorite while Na Li ((8/5) tracks everything down. We think that will wear Venus down as if did Wozniacki.

Serena Williams – Azarenka – Azarenka (13/5) can hit with Serena (2/7) but she cannot stay with her mentally. Serena breezes after a competitive first set.
